(San Antonio de los Baños, 1938 - Ciudad de La Habana, 2003) Cultivated sculpture, painting, drawing and other expressive possibilities of the arts. He made his first sculpture in 1949 at the age of eleven. Educated at schools as Villate, San Alejandro, Arts in Florence and Italy. Expanded studies in Madrid and Paris. Throughout his career having made 272 exhibitions, collective and personal. Left 127 paintings and medium sized monuments in Cuba, Mexico, Spain, Japan, Angola and Uruguay. He gave numerous lectures and master classes, was sworn in on 18 occasions. In 54 years of continuous work received over a hundred awards. A founding member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and member of the International Plastic Arts Association
